Community Guidelines

iFANN is a place for fans to celebrate the people, music, films, shows, and games they love. These guidelines describe what keeps the community safe and fun: and what gets content removed or accounts suspended. They apply to everything you post: posts, comments, videos, room threads, direct messages, profiles, and usernames.

1. Be respectful: no harassment or bullying

Disagreement and criticism are fine; abuse is not. Don't target anyone with insults, degrading language, threats, or coordinated pile-ons. Don't reveal anyone's private information (addresses, phone numbers, private accounts) or share images of a person without a reasonable basis to do so.

2. No hate speech

Content that attacks or dehumanizes people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease is not allowed anywhere on iFANN: including slurs, hateful stereotypes, and calls for exclusion or violence.

3. No violent, shocking, or illegal content

Don't post content that threatens, incites, or glorifies violence; that depicts gratuitous gore; or that promotes illegal acts, dangerous organizations, or the sale of regulated goods.

4. Adult content

Pornography and sexually explicit material are not allowed. Content involving the sexualization of minors is strictly prohibited, is removed immediately, and is reported to the relevant authorities. Suggestive-but-legal media in rooms must be flagged with the NSFW label so it stays behind the sensitive-content screen.

5. Protect minors

You must be at least 13 years old (or the digital-consent age in your country) to use iFANN. Never post content that endangers, exploits, or sexualizes a minor.

6. No spam or platform manipulation

Don't flood feeds or comment sections, post repetitive or deceptive links, farm engagement, impersonate others, or use automation to manipulate votes, polls, follower counts, or the awards system. Award voting has anti-fraud protections; attempting to circumvent them can forfeit votes and accounts.

7. Respect intellectual property

Only post content you have the right to share. Rights holders can request removal through our Content Removal & DMCA Policy. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.

8. No harmful misinformation

Don't post fabricated claims presented as fact that could cause real-world harm: including dangerous health claims and content intended to deceive about civic processes.

9. Self-harm

Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders is not allowed. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a local crisis line.

Reporting and blocking

Every post, comment, video, room thread, profile, and conversation on iFANN can be reported from its ⋯ menu or flag icon: reports go straight to our moderation queue. You can also block any account (from their profile, a post menu, or a conversation): blocking hides your content from each other, removes any follows between you, and closes direct messages.

Enforcement

Depending on severity and history, violations lead to content removal, feature limits, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination. Illegal content may be reported to law enforcement. We may also act on content that violates the spirit of these rules even when it evades their letter.

Appeals

If you believe we got a decision wrong, contact [email protected] from the email on your account and include the content link. We review appeals in good faith.
