Venezuela oil recovery vs daily life (photo 2 of 2)

@jolyonVenezuela's oil sector is seeing a revival, but everyday life hasn't caught up. Since Maduro was removed earlier this year, production has bounced back above a million barrels a day, and the economy is expected to grow about 6% in 2026. Exports are picking up and some investment is trickling back in. Yet most people are still waiting for that to matter. The official monthly income is around $240, inflation is still brutal, and many families can't quite cover basic groceries. The gains are concentrated in oil, while wages trail and prices stay steep. The country's vast reserves are finally being used again, but that hasn't turned into widespread relief for daily life.
