@urdjakademiksBarnabé Kikaya Bin Karubi, the former diplomatic advisor to Joseph Kabila, is calling for the immediate implementation of the Citizen Pact that the former president presented on May 23, 2025. This document outlines twelve specific commitments designed to resolve the crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The first commitment calls for ending tyranny while the second requires restoring the rule of law. National reconciliation is the focus of the third point and the fourth seeks the withdrawal of foreign troops. An end to the use of mercenaries is demanded by the fifth commitment and the sixth aims to restore democracy. Relaunching development is the goal of the seventh item and strengthening state authority is intended by the eighth. Protecting human rights is the ninth commitment and fighting against corruption is targeted by the tenth. Good governance is promoted as the eleventh pledge and working for peace is the twelfth objective. Barnabé Kikaya Bin Karubi stated it is the moment to act. You will agree with me that tyranny has lasted too long and has become more than unbearable. We must put an end to it together. The schoolmaster returns; the end of the tunnel is in sight. These proposals are attributed to Joseph Kabila as a path forward for the RDC.
