Michael Jackson's biopic 'MICHAEL' is still pulling impressive numbers at the Russian box office. Despite dropping to #2 behind local debut 'Kholop3' (which grossed $930k on Friday and has a $1.5M 2-day cume), the film earned another strong $840k on its third Friday across 1,199 theaters (+87 from last week), actually up 14.1% from the previous Friday despite new competition. Its total cume now stands at $12.6M with 1.7 million admissions. Pre-sales for Saturday have already reached $140k. If weekend-to-weekend drops stay under 20% from this third weekend onward, it could start aiming for the $25M mark. The current projection is a $3.1M-$3.5M third 4-day weekend.
