The U.S. government is on track to cripple the domestic AI sector. OpenAI has acknowledged that GPT 5.6 will launch in a restricted preview, available only to a select group of partners. Approval for access is being granted on a per-customer basis by the federal government. Anthropic has faced even stricter measures.
