The Los Angeles Lakers have changed hands twice in under 18 months. First came June 18, 2025, when the Buss family sold majority ownership to Mark Walter for about $10 billion. Then on August 12, 2026, Mark Walter sold the franchise to Josh Kushner and Bob Iger.
