The Odyssey China box office

The Odyssey is making serious noise in China. It pulled in $10.7M on the second day from about 58k screenings, up 28.9% from the pure opening day and only down 32.7% from day one plus previews. That puts the 2-day cume at $26.6M, already ahead of the entire opening weekends for Dune: Part Two, The Final Reckoning, and Jurassic World Rebirth, and nearly matching Tenet's full $29.8M run. With $4.4M in pre-sales for the next day across over 47k screenings, it's eyeing a $35M-$37M 3-day debut, which would be one of the biggest for Hollywood post-COVID and Nolan's best in China.
