ANRESF, the Financial Agency, has placed a hiring restriction on GRÊMIO. The Imortal can only sign new players with explicit authorization from the body. This step follows the Rio Grande do Sul club filing for a collective debt plan at CNRD. Releases for incoming transfers depend on two strict financial conditions. Spending on new arrivals must not exceed the total received from player sales. Also, the overall wage bill for the squad cannot increase.
