Strange Circus from 2005 is an 18+ film that demands you watch at your own risk because the first five minutes are already so disturbing you immediately know what kind of movie this is. The story tracks a young girl raised by abusive parents whose trauma never leaves her as she grows into adulthood, and years later a novelist begins writing disturbing stories linked to that past. The entire first act heavily features child abuse while the film contains intense violence and sexual transgression that many people will want to pass on watching entirely. That 5 out of 5 stars rating reflects the filmmaking quality and impact rather than any enjoyment of depicting abuse since the content is genuinely difficult for viewers to handle. I would honestly suggest skipping this one if you are not accustomed to such disturbing content because the intensity is relentless throughout. #Movies
