Koei Tecmo, the studio behind Dynasty Warriors, Atelier series, and Nioh, is handling development with a fresh narrative crafted directly by original author Hyuganatsu. You step into the shoes of Maomao for a mystery-solving adventure that involves gathering herbs, crafting items, and digging through mysterious events across the empire to see through lies and uncover the truth. The plot weaves together five connected incidents involving curses that peel back layers of a larger imperial mystery, anchored by the sentiment that "That cure of life, shall whisper of poison." Voice actors Aoi Yuki, Takeo Otsuka, and Yohei Azakami are confirmed to reprise their roles as Maomao, Jinshi, and Guanyu respectively, and all three will show up at Koei Tecmo's special livestream during Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 20.
