MJF 2026 PWI 500 number one

The conversation around the 2026 PWI 500 ranking landed on MJF hitting number one, and his immediate reaction was genuine surprise that the delay happened at all. He suggested that some folks were just slow to recognize exactly where he stood in the hierarchy, but confirmed without hesitation that they reached the top spot. There is definitely an argument that this achievement should have occurred a long time ago, which people are talking about, but that is fine. The bigger picture involves how many people have actually won the number one spot outside of WWE; the list of winners under banners that aren't WWE is really, really small. That scarcity makes it a very high honor for him personally. He also claimed that the only reason professional wrestlers will ever say they don't care about this ranking is because deep down, they know they aren't good enough to win it.
