Rubio on Iran and the midterms

Iran has it backwards, according to Sec. Rubio. He says Tehran assumes Democrats take the U.S. midterm elections in November, and that a win there would tie Trump's hands when it comes to acting against them. "I think the Iranians misread our system," he told Fox News. "I think the Iranians are under this illusion that Democrats are going to win in November, and the president will no longer be able to do things against them." The talks to end the war are the backdrop here, and Rubio's read is that Iran is miscalculating on the whole thing. Writer: Mhedi
