Rick Achberger WWE Sign Guy

Lance Petersen confirmed the death of Rick Achberger, widely recognized as the WWE Sign Guy. This dedicated fan made it to about 40 to 50 World Wrestling Entertainment events every single year, usually spotted in a blue work shirt and red hat holding signs at shows like WWE SmackDown on May 1. Petersen noted that while Achberger handled some health problems a couple of years ago, his condition started going downhill rapidly last month before he passed away on Sunday 9/27/26. The announcement described him as an absolute great guy who loved talking with fans at the shows and included condolences for his friends and family.
