The comparison is the whole point: a priest in Africa, ten seconds, telling people who don't profess Christianity to stay out of Holy Mass. That, the claim goes, is more reverence for Jesus than Pope Leo managed across a year and a half. Hence the line about a holy hand on a sinful face. 🤠
