It also says he'd been in the French capital close to a year getting treated for poisoning that came from Tshisekedi's circle. The other thread: he ran the ANR from 2011 to 2019 under Kabila, then betrayed him. Kalev Mutund had left the Democratic Republic of Congo in March 2021 to dodge judicial proceedings, and returned. He's accused of arbitrary arrest and torture, and he's under European and American sanctions for planning, directing or committing serious human rights violations.
