Pedro Rodríguez retires at 39

The boots are officially hung up at 39. Pedro Rodríguez is done, and the résumé he leaves behind is genuinely absurd. 99 goals in a Barcelona shirt alone, plus three Champions League medals and five league titles from his time there. Add a Premier League, a Europa League, an FA Cup and a Club World Cup to the pile. With Spain he got the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 Euros, which is about as complete as a career gets. Barcelona, Chelsea, Roma and Lazio all got a version of him, and the guy walked away with basically everything a footballer can win. A champion of everything, retiring. Thanks for the memories.
