Trump Palm Beach golf club presidential residence plan

Donald Trump is floating the idea of turning his Palm Beach, Florida golf club into an official presidential residence. Where did the concept come from? According to him, the U.S. military and the Secret Service pitched it first, and he rates it a 'very good idea'. His framing goes beyond one occupant: the place would be there for 'all future presidents', not just him. The pitch leans hard on location. He calls the site 'perfect' and says security is tight. Travel gets a mention too, since an airport sits right next door. And as he tells it, nothing tall stands around the property, which he says blocks anyone from watching or targeting it from high ground. Not everyone is sold. Observers are already pushing back, arguing the whole project looks like a way to profit off his current position by leasing the property out at an enormous rate.
