Shigella resistance warning

A disease that once yielded easily to treatment is now described by researchers as being close to untreatable. Scientists warn that sexually transmitted Shigella has reached a critical point where certain strains have developed resistance to azithromycin, ciprofloxacin, and ceftriaxone.
