Brandon Herrera TX-23 callout video
投稿者: Silvestre: Brandon Herrera
Republican Brandon Herrera calls out Democratic rival Katy Padilla in a TX-23 video. He mocks her Big Bend construction claim by adding fake noise while filming in Alpine, Texas. Herrera notes Alpine is an hour from Big Bend and 100 miles from the border. A mural proves the location. He accuses Katie Stout of being clueless or lying about the district's 27 counties. Herrera says either is disqualifying. He cites work with the White House and DHS to protect Brewster County tourism. #BrandonHerrera #Politics

Hi there, my name is Brandon Herrera. I'm the Republican nominee for Texas Congressional District 23, an avid supporter of protecting Big Bend. You might hear that construction noise in the background. That's because we added it in post. You see, something insane just happened. My opponent posted this video claiming that there was construction going on here in Big Bend. If you are out here, you can see that there are still trucks coming in by the dozens. You can probably hear the beeping of construction that is still going on. This is bizarre for two reasons. One, as you can hear, there's no construction going on whatsoever. Two, we're not in Big Bend. We are in the beautiful small town of Alpine, Texas, which if you know anything about West Texas is definitely funny because we're about an hour drive away from Big Bend and just about 100 miles away from the piece of border being discussed. Bonus points for funny. Where Katie was standing, she could have seen the map on the mural and known she was nowhere near where she was claiming to be. And again, as you can see, there's absolutely no construction happening of any... So why did Katie Stout say that Well that leaves us with two distinct possibilities One she clueless about Texas District 23 and has no idea where she is in it which is actually not very far considering she can even remember how many counties are in the district she's trying to represent. Obviously, this district is incredibly large. It's means 26 counties. We have 26 counties. So 26 counties in total. There are 27, by the way. Used to be 29, but there's 27. Anyway, she's either clueless about the district or, much worse in my opinion, she's actively lying to you to try to get your vote. She's fabricating a story and putting up false information that she knows to be untrue. Either way, I consider either one of those things to be completely disqualifying for somebody who's trying to run to represent the biggest district in all of Texas and one of the most beautiful places in the entire country. So which is it, Katie? Are you clueless or are you a liar? But that's why as the person who's going to be representing the district that includes Big Ben, I've been one of the most outspoken Republicans about not just protecting the national park, but the state park and the tourism economy that Brewster County so deeply relies on. I've already taken this issue directly to my Republican colleagues, directly to the White House, and directly to DHS. Letting them know what everybody in this area already knows, that we have to make it a priority to protect Big Ben.
