Children under the age of five are being forced to marry in Britain. New figures reveal that at least 100 children aged 12 or under were referred to the forced marriage unit in the last few years. 27 of these were for children aged 5 and under. 35 cases were aged between 6 and 10 years old. This is barbaric, medieval and crucially, we have imported this problem. When you look at the forced marriage stats in total, including adults, Pakistanis represent 41% of all cases. 35% of those involve children under the age of 17. Bangladeshis account for 9% of cases. Afghans account for 7% of cases. But 61% of those involve children under the age of 17. It smashed a hole in the idea that when people come to Britain, they kiss British soil and instantly start integrating into British culture. And so does this. The problem is actually getting worse. In 2023, just 4% of forced marriages were happening in Britain. In 2024, it was 6%. And the latest stats from 2025 show 14% of these cases were domestic. So 14% of cases were people in Britain forcing their children to marry another person in Britain. Dame Jasvinder Sanghira, who is the head of the charity Karma Nirvana, which does a huge amount of work trying to support people who have been the victims of child marriage, forced marriage and honour-based abuse, said this. The perpetrators will try to put you on the back foot. This is our culture, this is our religion, you're being racist or whatever, to make you look the other way. And I do feel that it still does exist in terms of professionals having the confidence to report such safeguarding concerns Cultural acceptance does not mean accepting the unacceptable She claimed that the findings showed that some children had been promised to somebody from birth with the marriage taking place years later. She added, I know that when schools open in September, which is a few days from now, there will be missing children. The opportunity to identify them was preschool holidays. Is somebody going to ask where they are? Or are they simply just going to go off the school roll? Or children will come back engaged or even married? What an absolutely mental quote that is, really, isn't it? We have the top charity worker and activist saying that fears of racism are preventing people from combating the issue of child marriage. So get a load of this Home Office statement. The Home Office said that forced marriage was not a problem specific to one country, religion or culture. There is no archetypal victim or perpetrator. No two cases are the same. Well, I'm sorry, but I just don't agree with that. I'm obviously not saying that all Muslims are marrying off their kids or anything like that. But if you do look at the figures from Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Afghans, I think it's fair to say that there is a religious and cultural issue at play here. We have imported this issue, OK? On Friday, I did a big segment exposing the network of predominantly Pakistani criminals right across Britain who have been involved in child rape, drug offences, violent crimes and organised crime. Now, as far as I'm aware, only GB News covered that on national television. And as far as I'm aware, only GB News is covering today's forced marriage statistics on national television. I find that baffling, but not surprising. But from the reaction to these horrifying figures today that I've seen online, there are plenty of people that want to fight back against the importation and normalisation of barbaric medieval third world cultures in our great country.
