Rockstar Games told YouTuber TCG the Grand Theft Auto 6 map dwarfs previous entries after their visit before the Netflix extended look. The new open world is twice the size of GTA 5 and three times larger than Red Dead Redemption 2. Vice City serves as the core area, but surrounding regions are part of the full scale.

Rockstar Games has revealed how much bigger GTA 6's map is compared to GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2's, and the answer is a lot. According to YouTuber TCG, who was able to visit Rockstar prior to the extended look on Netflix, Rockstar told them the map is twice the size of GTA 5's overall map and three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2's.
