NYC Mayor Mamdani on Gaza
投稿者: Jolyon: Zohran Mamdani
Palestinian families are looking for the same things every family wants: safety and dignity. That is the core message from NYC Mayor Mamdani, who says this situation is continuing. He points to an incident just last week where the Israeli military killed an 11-year-old Palestinian boy in Gaza inside a section considered to be a safe zone. Based on that event, Mamdani labeled Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as the architect of a horrific genocide.

about it. You know, if you feel something, you should be able to say something. We're alive. This is our only chance to be alive. And we're talking about, when you asked me about the prime minister, we're talking about the architect of a horrific genocide. And I think what's so, there have been all these attempts to, you know, people talk about a ceasefire. Just last week, the Israeli military killed an 11-year-old boy, Palestinian boy in Gaza, in a section that's considered to be a safe zone. This is continuing. Oh, it's unbelievable, man. And last week I had a number of Palestinian families from Gaza come to Gracie Mansion, where I live as the mayor of New York City, and to hear from them about the way that their lives have been shattered. You know, you meet two sisters and their mother and they tell you that the same airstrike that injured one of them ended up killing two of their brothers, that they lived in a tent that the father in that family is still there. You speak to an older grandmother and at the end of the meeting, she just comes up and says like, can you bring my son here? And having to tell her like, I will try, but as the mayor, I can't promise you that. And all these people want is what everybody wants. They just want their family, they want safety, they want dignity.
