MrBeast Shark Tank Ball 2 Investment
Jeffrey Housenbold opened the pitch for Ball 2 by declaring they hit nine figures in toys during their third year and possess a specific understanding of virality that allows them to drive customer acquisition costs to basically zero. He positioned Jimmy Donaldson as having the best marketing capabilities globally, suggesting a strategy where he plays ten different games across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. Housenbold highlighted their existing infrastructure, noting distribution networks at Walmart, Target, and Amazon alongside established manufacturing. The initial offer from MrBeast was $300,000 for 66% of the business, an amount the founders indicated they were open to given the investors' background. However, MrBeast pushed back on the steep ask, pointing out that the company had only achieved $70,000 in sales at the time of the pitch and characterizing the current status as ground zero. When the Ball 2 founders asked if the equity share could be reduced to 51%, the negotiation shifted toward a final agreement of $250,000 for a 55% stake. This deal marks MrBeast's first investment on Shark Tank. Jeffrey Housenbold expressed anticipation for creating content with the new products, while MrBeast confirmed his excitement about the partnership.
