Alex de Souza commands a reverence among Turkish football supporters that transcends typical player loyalty, often earning the moniker of a 'God' within the Fenerbahçe community. While his fanbase is inextricably linked to the club's general supporters rather than possessing a distinct, standalone organization like 'The Alexanders', his status as a former captain and the highest-scoring foreign player in Süper Lig history has cultivated a unique cult following. This devotion is physically manifested by a bronze statue erected outside the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, a rare honor for a non-Turkish athlete that serves as a pilgrimage site for fans seeking to connect with the legacy of the Brazilian maestro. The narrative surrounding him frequently highlights the tragedy of his career: despite being widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation, he never represented Brazil at a World Cup, a fact that has become central to his mythos as an underrated genius who found greater glory abroad. Regarding his standing in global celebrity metrics, iFANN has evaluated Alex de Souza but currently does not place him within the published Global Top 1,000 rankings or any specific scope list. Consequently, no ordinal rank or numerical score is assigned to his current fame level, reflecting his status as a regional icon rather than a globally ubiquitous figure in the modern era. His influence remains potent in Turkey and Brazil, sustained by recent managerial ventures and the enduring memory of his playing days.[編集]

Alex de Souza holds the distinction of breaking the Brasileirão record by scoring more than 100 goals in just 46 games, a statistical anomaly that underscores his prolific nature early in his career. He shared the field with Ronaldinho during the 2000 Summer Olympics, yet despite earning 48 caps and scoring 12 goals for Brazil, he was never selected for a World Cup squad, a notable omission given his consistent high-level performance. A bronze statue stands outside Fenerbahçe's Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, marking him as one of the few non-Turkish players to receive such an extraordinary tribute from a club. Fans often refer to him as a 'God,' a reflection of his legendary status where his playing equipment is also preserved in the club museum. Beyond the statistics, a story often told in football lore recounts his vocal leadership in October 2012 when he publicly unveiled internal problems within the Fenerbahçe locker room, prioritizing the club's integrity over silence. Another chapter of his legend involves his unexpected return to professional play in 2026, defying typical retirement paths and rekindling the stories of his resilience.[編集]
