Timofey, his first name, honors his paternal grandfather, a nod to his Russian heritage that complements his fluency in both Russian and English learned at home. He bears a lion tattoo on his chest, a permanent symbol of strength and family legacy that mirrors his aggressive fighting style. Although his father initially discouraged a professional boxing career in favor of education or another sport, Tim pursued the gloves with relentless focus. An avid supporter of the Sydney Roosters NRL team, he has attended games since childhood, grounding his life in local sports culture. In 2021, he proposed to Alexandra Constantine during a private ceremony at their home, a personal milestone separate from his public achievements. His legendary status was solidified on July 25, 2026, following a unanimous decision victory over Errol Spence Jr., an event that immediately prompted Spence's retirement. Commentators dubbed the contest a "battle of broken soldiers" due to its grueling nature, while a story emerged of Tszyu showing mercy to his opponent despite having chances to finish him. This victory transformed him from a promising heir into a definitive icon who carried the torch of the Tszyu name to new heights.[編集]
