Juicy J

Three 6 Mafiaは2005年のシングル「Stay Fly」でメインストリームに躍り出て、2006年には映画『Hustle & Flow』からの曲「It's Hard out Here for a Pimp」がアカデミー歌曲賞を受賞し、ヒップホップにとって画期的な快挙を達成した。

このアルバムからはLil Wayneと2 Chainzをフィーチャーしたプラチナヒット「Bandz a Make Her Dance」が生まれた。

同年、彼らは映画『Hustle & Flow』のために「It's Hard out Here for a Pimp」を録音。

Juicy Jは2002年に『Chronicles of the Juice Man』でソロキャリアをスタートさせたが、ColumbiaとKemosabe Recordsからのメジャーレーベルソロデビュー作『Stay Trippy』（2013年）が彼の突破口となった。 続いてMike Will Made Itの「23」やUsherの「I Don't Mind」にフィーチャリング参加し、いずれもTop 40シングルとなった。

The community surrounding Juicy J does not march under a single, branded banner like the Swifties or Beyhive. Instead, his audience is a sprawling coalition of Southern hip-hop devotees and loyalists to Three 6 Mafia, often self-identifying as "The Family." This collective maintains the group's commercial viability decades after their initial rise, driving sustained streaming numbers that turn legacy catalogs into modern revenue streams. Fans actively track the group's financial trajectory, celebrating stories where minimal investments grew into massive enterprises. While specific fan-funded campaigns remain undocumented, the community rallies around reunion tours and festival appearances, creating an atmosphere of shared history rather than organized ritual. The connection between artist and listener is defined by Juicy J's accessibility; he frequently engages with followers through social media, using humor and stark statistics about sample usage to bridge the gap between street credibility and global pop success. Despite this deep engagement, iFANN has evaluated Juicy J but found no placement for him in the published Global Top 1,000 rankings or any Top-100 scope list. He currently holds no numeric rank within the iFANN Global Fame Engine.[編集]

He taught himself the music business as a teenager by reading books on marketing and royalties, a skill that helped him later become an A&R executive. A story fans still retell involves the group investing just $4,500 to record their debut album Mystic Stylez, which eventually generated $45 million in lifetime revenue. Another legend centers on the 2006 Oscar win, where the group walked off stage before Will Smith could accept his award for Ali, leaving rumors of disappointment in their wake. In 2024, Juicy J claimed the group's songs are sampled five to six times daily, accounting for roughly 90% of profits from current releases, a statistic he uses to engage fans regarding their musical legacy.[編集]
